Snr Sgt Rachael Goss
Victoria Police Diverse Community Mentor Program

The Victoria Police Diverse Community Mentor Program (VPDCMP) is a collaborative program developed to provide supported pathways for Australians from cultural and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities seeking employment as sworn members with Victoria Police through participation in a structured mentor program.

The VPDCMP aims to increase cultural diversity among sworn members within Victoria Police by working with our stakeholders to address the recruiting challenges identified by the CALD community.

The VPDCMP will promote social inclusion and enhance community engagement by demonstrating a clear commitment by Victoria Police to employ people from diverse backgrounds.

Senior Sergeant Rachael Goss began working with Victoria Police in 1995 and is now a Regional Training Officer within the North West Metropolitan area.

Her career has encompassed general policing operations, training, and law education, and she has led teams within various specialist units such as traffic enforcement, transit and public safety, training, regional health, safety and wellbeing, and regional planning and risk management.

Senior Sergeant Goss holds a Diploma of Business, Diploma of Management, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.  She is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Organisational Leadership.  She is the chair of the Victoria Police Diverse Community Mentor Program.

She lives in Melbourne’s east with her two teenage children who are sometimes more challenging than policing.
