Conservation issues will be discussed, along with monitoring of bird populations and movements. Some interesting bird facts will also be presented.

Alan started watching birds with a junior bird club in the UK when about 12 years old. He has been involved in many aspects of ‘birding’ including surveys, conservation work and chasing rarities. He moved to Australia in 2005, continuing his interest here, and is now President of BirdLife Melbourne.
