Renata has written;  "We will be around Melbourne during 15th January and leave in the 29!  If I have a chance it would be lovely to catch up with some of you that received me in 2005.

We are not aware of Renata's plans while in Melbourne, whether she intends to make direct contact with any members or attend a club meeting. If any readers would like to meet up with Renata it is probably best to let Marjorie know and the matter be coordinated owing to the short time Renata is in the city.

Renata's letter covers her recent graduation and is copied in full below;

It’s Renata Brandão, from Brasil. I was a Rotary Youth Exchange Student in Melbourne 2005.
I can say it was a lifetime experience, a great opportunity to improve my English, to get to know such a beautiful country with its beautiful people and to make lifetime friends.
I always had this dream, that I would come back there to visit. But it was not that easy to get there... a bit far from Brazil and after my exchange program a had to focus in getting into university!
So I did! Got in Medical school, graduated. Them graduated again after 2 years of internal medicine!
And now I’m almost becoming a Clinical Oncologist (1 more year left of 3).
It been a long journey, but so far so good!
And now it’s time! I’m taking a couple of weeks off at the hospital (I wish I had more time to travel) and I’m taking my mum and my husband to get to know a little bit of this amazing place.
We will be around Melbourne during 15th January and leave in the 29!
If I have a chance it would be lovely to catch up with some of you that received me in 2005.

Thank you all for the opportunity and the greatest experience in young girl life.

Love,
Renata Alvarenga Brandão
