Peter Royce | Keeping our community warm | Nov 19, 2024 7:40 am |
In this presentation, Peter will explore the face of impact on the streets, and in the kitchen; the evolution of service demands and how community organisations will need to prepare and respond. Peter has been a volunteer in the not-for-profit (homelessness sector) for over 10 years, first for St Vincent De Paul Soup Van and then with 300 Blankets where he has acted in various roles over the past 9+ years, culminating in becoming President in 2020. His volunteer experiences in this sector range from coal-face program delivery through to corporate governance. Peter has been able to advocate for the sector through connections with other organisations operating in the sector, as well as presenting at organisations and schools about homelessness - its cause, issues and resolution - and enrolling others in supporting our community. |

Dr Jane Leong | Australian Centre for AI in Medical Innovation | Dec 03, 2024 7:40 am |
Jane will share her insights on how artificial intelligence (AI) is shaping medical innovation and what developments we might expect in the future. Jane is currently Director, Development at the Australian Centre for Artificial Intelligence in Medical Innovation (ACAMI) at La Trobe University. She has over 25 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, holding senior positions locally and internationally in different R&D functions. Prior to joining ACAMI, Jane was at Moderna where she established medical affairs teams in Australia and Asia Pacific countries, Advances in mRNA Science meetings and global research fellowships. During her tenure in CSL and GSK, Jane has led global vaccine portfolios, therapeutics and vaccine launches, regulatory approvals and clinical development programs. Jane holds a medical degree and Master in Business Administration from the University of Melbourne and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. |
