Keeping our community warm

In this presentation, Peter will explore the face of impact on the streets, and in the kitchen; the evolution of service demands and how community organisations will need to prepare and respond.

Peter has been a volunteer in the not-for-profit (homelessness sector) for over 10 years, first for St Vincent De Paul Soup Van and then with 300 Blankets where he has acted in various roles over the past 9+ years, culminating in becoming President in 2020.

His volunteer experiences in this sector range from coal-face program delivery through to corporate governance.

Peter has been able to advocate for the sector through connections with other organisations operating in the sector, as well as presenting at organisations and schools about homelessness - its cause, issues and resolution - and enrolling others in supporting our community.
