Introducing Dr Vinay Nangia from the Suraj Eye Institute in Nagpur

The International Service Committee is considering including a Suraj Eye Institute project in 2024-25. To learn more about this successful Indian hospital, our own Annett Brouwer and Dr Vinay Nangia, the chairman and founder of the Institute, will discuss the most interesting parts of Vinay's work and life.

Dr Vinay Nangia is an expert for the Global Burden of Diseases 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019, collaborator with the non-Communicable Disease Risk Factor Consortium, Vision Loss Expert Group and Asian Eye Epidemiology Group. He was awarded the Honorary Fellowship of All India Ophthalmic Society for his contribution to Glaucoma in 2014.

Vinay has committed himself to serving Central India to control blindness activities through proactive measures for community and towards research in public health. He established the Suraj Eye Institute in Nagpur in 1993.
