Welcome to our first E-Blast!

  • 85% of people with Intellectual Disability are unemployed, compared to our broader population at 4.3%. We have skilled and highly motivated jobseekers looking for work. Thats where Rotary is assisting.
  • CEP is a movement where Rotarians connect with their networks to seek businesses who are interested in talking to Belonging Matters about employment and inclusive workplaces.
  • Hear about the contribution of fellow Rotarian’s who are making introductions as they go about their week, to assist jobseekers with disability to find meaningful employment, and be inspired to get involved as part of this grass roots movement!

Anniversaries & Updates

  • Congratulations to Tas who has been working at Woodards Blackburn for a year now delivering their marketing material. A big shout out to Julian Badenach from Box Hill Central Rotary Club for making this happen.
  • Mike has just celebrated his 2-year anniversary working at Keysborough Golf Club. Thank you to Warwick Cavell from Central Melbourne Rotary club who had a business connection at the golf club.
We had the opportunity to present to Hawthorn, Box Hill Central and Lysterfield Rowville Rotary Clubs, with jobseekers who have found a job through CEP, to talk about their experience.

How Can Rotarian’s Participate?
3 steps for Rotarians for participating in Community Employment Partnership:
1. Think about your networks - professional, local community, family, and friends
2. Talk to your networks about CEP
3. Refer your networks to CEP
