Easter Tuesday calls and Easter Tuesday delivers! Correct, on behalf of RCM Community Service Committee.
RCM Members and partners Rebecca and Neville John, Frank and Pauline O'Brien, and Peter and Sue Duras were out and about post our Zoom Meeting on Tuesday, 22 April 2025.
Sacred Heart School, Fitzroy
Deputy Principal Jennine Milssom was very pleased to receive three large boxes of new cargo shorts and pants for the primary school children living in Social Housing along Brunswick Street, Fitzroy.
This clothing was sourced from DiK during our Club’s recent Working Bee, another benefit of volunteering at DiK.
St Mary’s House of Welcome (SMHOW), Fitzroy
SMHOW received 40 sleeping bags from our current appeal.
We were lucky to enter the premises as we were rushed from all sides from SMHOW clients hoping to be early recipients of these bags. We met the interim CEO, John Fogarty (no, not the lead singer from Creedence Clearwater Revival!) who was extremely grateful for our donation and would appreciate a further delivery if possible, such was the demand as winter approaches.
Youth Projects, Melbourne
Youth Projects received 51 items of clothing made up of underwear, track pants, hoodies and jackets.
These garments are sourced from the Rotary Club of Flemington Kensington Op Shop, DiK (yet again) and locally.
Who needs the Easter Bunny when you have RCM!
