Ten Rotarians, partners and friends travelled to Phillip Island on Saturday July 23rd for a tree planting day. The club joined with Phillip Island Landcare to plant 2000 trees in an area that forms a critical bio link between the north and south coast of the island.
An important piece of equipment that makes the Landcare Group's work more efficient and effective is the trailer that was donated by Rotary Central Melbourne when it ceased to be needed for the Community Village project. The Landcare and community members were interested to hear about the background to the trailer and how it had made its way from St Paul's Cathedral to the island.
