Rebecca John reminded everyone of the Christmas Hamper Appeal. The Community Service Committee has sent out emails to everyone containing a flyer explaining this appeal. Also, the details are in the club bulletin. Please let Rebecca know how many bags you want.
Neville John reminded everyone that Bunnings BBQs are coming on 15 November (Collingwood) and 22 November (Port Melbourne), so please let Neville know if you wish to be part of the fun(draising).
Kevin Love reminded everyone that registrations for the Paul Harris breakfast are closing on 11 November. We currently have 125 registered and we have a capacity for 200. So please reach out to fellow Rotarians, friends, and colleagues to encourage them to come. Prof. Ross Garnaut will be our speaker, and it is sure to be a great event. It will be held at the Windsor Hotel on 18 November.

The meeting following that will be a short online AGM meeting. The reason it is online is to ensure we get a quorum.
The Club has 6 complimentary tickets to this great event. There are four awards conferred: Student of the Year, Indigenous Student of the Year, Apprentice/Trainee of the Year and Industry Engagement award. Each winner receives the Rotary Central Melbourne Ian Angus, OAM, Prize honouring our late member and a cash award of $2,000.

It is a great night with over 500 in attendance and our Club brand is given significant exposure. The winners are very inspiring.
As referred to in a recent email, members and friends are invited to take part in Rotary Central Melbourne's annual Christmas Hamper Appeal by filling bags with specific grocery items for Steps Outreach Service and Uniting Asylum Seeker Project (please refer to the flyer).
Inrelation to hamper bags, Neville John will have a supply of hamper bags with him at every in-person event over the coming weeks, but you may also use your own. Remember to place a red tag on Steps Outreach hampers and a green tag on Uniting ASP. Please contact Neville (nrjohn@iprimus.com.au) or Rebecca John (beng1@iprimus.com.au) if you want to pick up a bag or to advise how many hampers you will be donating to which charity.
The Community Service Committee has also offered to assist those who want to donate hampers but are unable to shop, in which case a donation of $50 per bag should be be made to the RCM bank account. We need to keep track of all donations so please let Neville or Rebecca know if you are planning to use this offer as soon as possible. The RCM banking details are:

The collection and distribution of hampers has changed. Hampers will be distributed to representatives of Steps and Uniting ASP after the RCM Christmas breakfast on 9th December 2025. As mentioned in the email, your hampers will either need be dropped off to one of the Community Service Committee members mentioned, or you can arrange with Neville to have them collected.
