RTSS Victoria’s Time for Remembering Ceremony
Road Trauma Support Services Victoria (RTSSV) is a not-for-profit organisation contributing to the safety and wellbeing of Victorian road users.
They provide counselling and support services to people impacted by road trauma, addressing the attitudes and behaviours of road users through education.
Counselling services are provided free of charge Monday to Friday from 9am till 5pm., to anyone who has been impacted by a road incident.
RTSSV are committed to educating the community and raising public awareness about road trauma and how it affects people’s lives. They do this by positively influencing driver attitudes and behaviours with the aim of reducing crashes and the resulting trauma.
Time for Remembering has been held at Parliament House on the third Sunday in November, the World Day of Remembrance for Road Trauma Victims since 2001.
Road Trauma Support Services Victoria warmly invites you to the 18th annual Time for Remembering ceremony (commencing Sunday 18th November’18)
at Queen's Hall, Parliament House, Melbourne.
It gives attendees the opportunity to commemorate the lives of loved ones lost on our roads, celebrates their lives and gives thanks for those who survived. It is also an opportunity to pay tribute to those agencies and individuals who work tirelessly to reduce the road toll and the associated trauma and grief.
Cameron joined RTSSV in 2012, bringing over 20 years' experience in health and community care. Ten of those years were at senior and executive management levels in the aged care, primary care and community service settings across the private and not-for-profit sectors.
Cameron’s clinical nursing practice focused on palliative care and advanced nursing practice providing valuable insight into issues surrounding grief and loss. Cameron’s responsibilities include people, fiscal and resource management and strategy to ensure that RTSSV has a viable and sustainable future providing support to those affected by road trauma in the community.
