Over the last four years, Caprice Australia Pty Ltd (Caprice), a large Melbourne based wholesale distributor of household/children’s goods, have donated tens of thousands of dollars worth of new children’s items for distribution by our Club. We recently received their largest donation yet, 35 cartons of mainly shoes, 900 pairs with a retail value well in excess of $10,000.
After 2 weeks of sorting in Peter and Sue Duras’s apartment, and acting on the suggestions of Club members (particularly Frank and Pauline O’Brien ), this very generous donation was able to reach hundreds of disadvantaged families in need via the following Charities:
Caroline Chisholm Society Essendon via RC Essendon
Macauley House via RC Essendon
Cambodia via PDG Bronwyn Stephens
ASRC Footscray
St Vincent de Paul Footscray
St Kilda Mums
Berry St Babies Home Richmond
