District Governor Ron Payne: District Support for the Clubs
District Governor Ron will be joining us at our face to face meeting on 15 August. His presentation will focus on how he and the District Support Team can support the Clubs throughout the year and assist clubs to achieve their goals.
District Governor Ron will be joining us at our face to face meeting on 15 August. His presentation will focus on how he and the District Support Team can support the Clubs throughout the year and assist clubs to achieve their goals.
Ron has been a member of the Rotary Club of Eaglehawk for eighteen years, having twice served as President and filling most Board positions in that time. His District leadership journey started with the role of Assistant Governor and has included duties on various committees as well as mentoring the AG team.
Ron believes that building a committed team and empowering them to use initiative will ensure a successful and respectful environment develops across the District. A strong commitment to assisting the District Team in providing direct and informed support and guidance to clubs and club officers is a key priority for Ron.
Ron enjoyed a 47-year career with the Department of Education that saw him involved in teaching, principalship and senior management roles within the Department and communities across western and central Victoria. Ron and Deb have two adult daughters, two supportive sons-in-law and six grandchildren, all of whom they cherish sharing time with.
