Ben Harrington: Finding work with a disability
“Living with a disability presents a variety of challenges and barriers to deal with and overcome. These barriers are often typified by systems and practices that aren’t designed with us in mind.
I'll be sharing my experience with finding work - including the barriers and prejudice that I’ve encountered, the lack of disability support infrastructure offered by some companies, my current work, and the positive signs and ideal future for people with disabilities finding work and building a career. I think that sharing my experience is worthwhile in offering my perspective as someone with a disability who has dealt directly with this particular challenge.”
