DO YOU HAVE OLD MOBILE PHONES?

CAN YOU DONATE THEM FOR OUR DV SAFE PHONE PROJECT?

This project supports the DV (Domestic Violence) Smart Phone National Plan To End Violence Against Women and Children, with the objective to end gender based violence within one generation.

Our Club assists DV Safe Phone, a registered charity based in Mooloolaba, Queensland by collecting unwanted mobile phones which are then repaired and given to domestic violence survivors, through domestic violence and law enforcement agencies, safe houses and hospitals Australia wide. Over 11,000 phones have been distributed so far.

We have had two successful collections during 2024. It is time for our next collection.

We ask you to locate any unwanted mobile phones you or friends or work colleagues may have, and bring them to our next “in person” Rotary meeting on Tuesday, March 4 2025, or alternatively contact Tom Callander (mobile 0418 332 019, email tcallander@rigbycooke.com.au) and arrange for drop off or collection.

DV Smart Phone will ensure your phone has been erased, but it is helpful that you sign out of your devices and erase your data the correct way to save time and give peace of mind. Tom can email you simple steps to do so if you need them – just ask.
